Daily Lenten Prayer for March 29, 2009
Opening Prayer: Father, help us to be like Christ Your Son, who loved the world and died for our salvation. Inspire us by His love, guide us by His example. Amen.
Scripture Readings: Jeremiah 31:31-34; Hebrews 5:7-9; John 12:20-33
Meditation: In today’s Gospel story Jesus raises his friend Lazarus from the dead. Jesus promises to raise us up from our faults and failings to a new life of happiness and peace. Today I will spend time in prayer, asking Jesus for His gift of new life.
Closing Prayer: Lord, protect Your people always, that they may be free from every evil and serve You with all their hearts. Amen.
