Hi Barb,

The feast of Christ the King is a great one. Always a time to remember who we are as compared to who He is, in a world where we tend to place way too much emphasis on who we think we are compared to one another.

The confession of the good thief is always a great reminder of that.
Good Thief:
And indeed, we have been condemned justly,
for the sentence we received corresponds to our crimes,
but this man has done nothing criminal."

For I have indeed been condemned justly for my numerous sins. And yet He gently lifts me up and tells me that I will be with Him in paradise. Mind boggling to say the least. We just don’t know what to do with a King like that.

But I sure am glad it’s the one we got!

Good to catch up with you again Barb. Maybe taking those first steps out of the desert. Blessings to you.
 
Hi John…indeed good to be catching up with you again and on this great Feast (Sunday here in Sth. Aust.). The desert is at once a difficult and blest place to be, although I dont think probably we realize the great blessing until we are out of it. It is a place of temptation and struggle with Faith victorious and we are the stronger and more firmly confirmed in Faith for our sojourn.
I can’t add a word to your Post, John, you have said it all…
