This is a Monthly Liturgy reference thread. Updates to the thread will be posted daily and a new thread will be opened each month. The information is offered here in the hope that you will make the Church’s liturgical cycle part of your own daily prayer life.

St. Teresa (1515-1582) was born in Avila and died in Alba, Spain. At the age of eighteen she joined the Carmelite Order and chose Christ as her heavenly Spouse. With the help of St. John of the Cross she reformed most of the Carmelite convents and founded new ones.

The Third Gospel - St. Luke
