Say you are right next door to an adoration chapel, and there is a church a 15 minute drive away having a Mass in 15 minutes. You have to be back in an hour. Do you do a Holy Hour at the chapel, or go to Mass? (It’s not Sunday).

I really like attending both mass and adoration, but I think I would choose mass, because then I can receive communion.

No question for me.

Mass is by far the best possible use of one’s prayer time, it’s the supreme and most grace-filled prayer of the church. Uniting yourself with Christ’s sacrifice on Calvary.

Better than anything you can do in Adoration.

If you have to be back to work and don’t have the time to eat lunch, then I would say you should take turn: some day go to mass and some day go to adoration. Because if you go to Mass and come back, it will take you a full hour.

You don’t want to be starving and working - it is not good for you and it is not fair when you know you won’t perform your job well with an empty stomach.

In my case, I am able go to daily mass because the church and my workplace are on the same block. It normally takes me overall 40 to 45 mintues for church. I have 15 minute of my lunch + one 15 min break = 30 min for lunch total.

If you have few 15min break like I do, then go for the Mass. 🙂

Sorry, I answered the poll before I read the question. I thought that you meant which do we attend daily- Mass or Adoration and I chose Adoration :o

If I had a choice, I would take the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass of course 👍

May God’s peace, love and mercy be with you all!

You can do both. Usually I go to daily holy mass and then stay for another 15-30 minutes on weekdays and longer than that on weekends to adore Our Good Lord Jesus present in the tabernacle. Usually there is a candle lit right next to the tabernacle indicating that there are Sacred Hosts in there. Sometimes, I do go to the adoration chapels.

Now, the awesome thing is you can even do online adoration. They have a live webcam and you can see Our Good Lord day and night 24 hours a day.

I usually do that when I get home. Be in the presence of Our Good Lord Jesus as I read, do household chores, watch tv or as I use the computer like typing my response to this forum. As I do all these things, I glance, smile at Our Good Lord once in a while. Ahhh…what a blessing! …such peace!.. such contentment!

We can also adore Jesus Our God, within us, when we receive Him in holy communion.

What a blessing to be constantly in His presence! Just can’t get enough of Him! God bless!

Blessed be Jesus and Mary!

Wow, that’s a beautiful chapel there. There’s another online site called savior.org which is the same idea, but this one is better done.

I’d go to adoration. I can’t drive, so I wouldn’t be able to get to Mass- but I would still go to adoration if I could drive. I wouldn’t want to walk into the church seconds before Mass begins. I’d rather spend an extra 30 minutes or so in adoration than spend that time on the road, only to cut things so close.
