I started putting out our Mass Readings with commentary from the Early Church Fathers. I considered stopping because I just did not think anyone was interested, but I have gotten some feedback, so I have continued. But I have decided to condense the commentary because I think I was just providing entirely too much for each passage, which makes it to where it is not reader friendly. But I just wanted to remind you all that they are available here litteralchristianlibrary.wetpaint.com/page/Daily+Catholic+Scripture+Readings

and they have been done, keeping in mind to make them more reader friendly.

If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

Thank you!

Thanks Copland. I do love to hear what the Church Fathers have to say on the topics. I think Navarre does a decent job on providing early church commentary, but not as much as I’d like to see. They tend to focus too much on what Josemarie Escriva has to say (for obvious reason, of course!).

I love the Early Church Fathers, and also the Doctors of the Church such as Aquinas and St. John of the Cross etc. I have many resources available to keep this idea on going, and I really enjoy doing it. If you ever need additional commentary or further explantion from the ECF on the Mass Readings then let me know, I am only giving concise commentary on each verse.

Brilliant! I’m bookmarking this!

I’ve got exams at the moment, but I’m planning to develop doing some Lectio Divina and this would be great to supplement it. 🙂

Thank you! Often the best efforts go unappreciated. Keep it up!

God bless. 🙂
