I am wondering if anyone reads the daily Mass readings for the traditional Latin Mass as a private devotion at home if you are not able to attend weekday Mass?

Thanks
God bless.

I have done so for many years. I read them whether I attend Mass that day or not.

So maybe I should rephrase my question. In the ordinary form there are daily Mass readings which we are encouraged to read whether we attend Mass that day or not. I thought there probably were in the Latin Mass also and you could do the same thing, read the daily Mass readings even if you are not able to attend Mass. I thought it would help me follow the Extraordinary Form’s liturgical calendar.

But after posting this I read somewhere that there are not daily Mass readings but only Mass readings during certain times of the year.

Could someone clarify. I am really trying to learn.

Thank you. God bless.

Thanks.

I did for a short time. Have to start doing that again though. Thanks for bringing this topic up. 👍

The daily reading I most commonly a saint’s day, and that is what I read. If there is no saint that day, I read one of the votive Masses.
