Daily Missal From Midwest Theological Forum... Recommendations?

I’ve been eagerly awaiting publication of the new missal for daily and Sunday Mass and am interested in pre-ordering one. I’m not talking about a an alter or chapel sacramentary like the priest and deacons use but a daily missal for use by the laity in the pews, like the familiar St. Joe’s missal or similar.

The only source I have found so far is Midwest Theological Forum, who are advertising what appears to be an extremely nice and extremely expensive daily missal at theologicalforum.org/new_daily_roman_missal_pre-order.asp. If I’m reading correctly, it appears to contain the order of Mass for the two year weekday cycle and the three year Sunday cycle in one volume. This makes it interesting in that it would replace the three volume St. Joe’s set I currently use.

The least expensive is hardcover at $60 😦 and the leather one is $95 :eek: So I’ll probably wait.

But just out of curiosity, does anyone use any of their products such as this missal on a daily basis? Anyone have any feedback? Random thoughts? Anything?

I’d appreciate any feedback whatsoever.

I own it and will make the $95 investment. I am also going to purchase the one from the Catholic Truth Society (UK) because of the quality of the presentation. To my knowledge, the MTF version is going to have, as in the current one, the English and Latin texts.

I hope you don’t mind me asking, how do they fit English and Latin for all the readings for Sunday and daily Masses whereas others use three volumes? Is the font infinitesimally small or something? I’m thinking it’s like six gallons of water in a five gallon bucket, no?

The Daily Roman Missal has the Order of the Mass in latin and english. The readings are only in english.

Correction. The description says ‘The Order of Mass, Psalm responses, Alleluia
verses, and numerous prayers in English and Latin.’

Aquinasandmore also has the revised edition GIRM. I was going to order it from the USCCB, until I saw the shipping charges. Aquinas is much more reasonable.
 
The Daughters of St. Paul are again printing missals!
They will be called the Saint Paul Sunday Missal and the Saint Paul Daily Missal. They will include all the readings and propers, plus spiritual reflections for each day.

The Daily missal will be a combination of both Sunday and Weekday Masses.
Price is: Sunday $26.95, Daily $45.95.

Each will be available in either black or burgundy leatherflex, with gilded edges and ribbon markers.
