Daily Missal Recommendations

I am looking for recommendations for a daily missal that has the rubrics in it for sitting, kneeling, standing, etc.

I have heard that the 2009 printing of the Angelus Press daily missal has these rubrics. If anyone can confirm this, that would be appreciated. My apologies if this has been discussed before and did not find the thread for it.
 
Angelus Press, Baronius Press, the St Andrews and Fr Lascanse, Fr Stedman, and the Laymans Missal have these rubrics I think. You can get most of these at the FSSP Bookstore, and the Angelus Press.
 
The rubrics of the TLM do not mention the laity at all. All the actions of the laity are based on custom. While some missals include whether to kneel, stand, or sit this is just their recommendation. Again, the rubrics don’t mention the laity at all.

This is why there is some variety between parishes regarding when to kneel or stand or sit. Indeed, sometimes within the same church you will see different people doing different things.
 
There are no rubrics for the laity at the EF. The norms change from Low Mass to High Mass and even from parish to parish. Online, there’s a great PDF showing the most common form of sitting, standing, and kneeling in the TLM but unfortunately I can’t find it.

This is it, in a “nutshell”.

Rubrics for Low Mass
STAND: When the priest enters sanctuary.
KNEEL: Prayers at the foot of the altar.
SIT: Epistle, Gradual, Alleluia / Tract.
STAND: Gospel.
SIT: Announcements and sermon.
STAND: Credo, genuflect at “Et incarnatus est …”
SIT: After the Oremus before the Offertory antiphon (bells are rung once).
KNEEL: Sanctus (bells are rung three times).
SIT: After Communion as priest begins ablutions (purification of chalice).
KNEEL: Last Blessing, make the Sign of the Cross as the priest blesses the congregation.
STAND: Last Gospel, genuflect at “Et verbum caro factum est …”
KNEEL: For prayers after Mass.
STAND: Until priest exits the sanctuary.

During a High Mass, the priest and choir sing the Ordinary and the Propers in Latin.

During a Low Mass, the priest recites the Ordinary and Propers. The choir and congregation may sing Latin and English hymns to accompany the liturgical action at the Entrance, Offertory, Communion and Recessional.

Holy Communion:

Please note, it is customary at a Tridentine Mass for Holy Communion to be received kneeling and on the tongue.

The communicant does not say, “Amen,” because it is included when the priest says, “Corpus Domini nostri Jesu Christi custodiat animam tuam in vitam aeternam. Amen.” (“May the body of our Lord Jesus Christ preserve your soul unto life everlasting. Amen.”)
 
I have a Baronius press missal. My wife had an Angelus Press Missal. I am jealous of her’s. But the reasons are so slight that it doesn’t make a huge difference. The Baronius one is just fine too.
 
I know that there are no rubrics. I just wanted to know if there are any daily missals that have these suggested positions already in them.

Also, if anyone has the 2009 edition of the Angelus Press Daily Missal, please let me know if it has these standing, kneeling, sitting rubrics in the fourth printing.
 
The inexpensive way would be to print out my post#6 and paste it into your current missal.

Thank you for your post and your help. I have the hang of the mass but I would like more information on daily missals, specifically the 2009 Angelus Press printing.

I referred to it, and just pencilled in marginal notes.

To the OP–I just checked my Baronius Missal. It does not have the people’s postures, other than a couple of genuflections, and does not specifically differentiate Low Mass from High Mass or Missa Cantata. When I started attending the Latin Mass, my only clue was whether there were two or six candles lit at the altar.

Sorry, I can’t help with the Angelus Press missal: My local bookstore only had the Baronius Press one.

Thank you for your effort and assistance. However, I have never heard of the Baronius Missals having the postures in them. The only missal I have ever heard of them being in is the 2009 printing of the Angelus (the previous three printings did not have them inside).

This is why the question was specific to any missals you can recommend with the postures inside of them. I may make the Angelus Press Missal question a separate thread if need be.
