In time, when things settle, I am hoping to have time to contribute here on CAF into threads - in my career days I was regarded as one of Adelaide’s top private secretaries and worked for some important executives - hence used to working hard and consistently and at times needing to think rapidly ‘on my feet’ as were. My best girlfriend in those days was private secretary to our Attorney General then and another girlfriend a court reporter and took shorthand at 200wmp (… I just saw last night in my junk mail a really great desk for me in the Community Room of Bethany…(at the moment it is a rickety quite old table my non carpenter Dad made for Bethany here)…I have been waiting for the right design and price and $125 for a computer desk with credenza and filing cabinet sounds like my price for what they are offering and brand new! A friend is coming by this coming Monday and I will buy it and have it sent to Bethany here…Dei sub numine viget …(translation: flourishing under the will of God)…mind you my Latin always was lousy…and…my French not much better either nowadays…Deo Gratius Allelluia Amen!
My bed collapsed a while back and I was speaking last night on the phone to my brother who has an antique bed in storage which he is going to donate to Bethany after he gets back from Melbourne where he is lecturing in Reality Therapy and Choice theory. I had thought that Dr. Glasser had passed away for some reason (a personal friend of my brothers who won a scholarship to Utah University in the US of A in Reality Therapy many many moons back) but my brother told me last night that he is now in his mid 80’s almost and still very active in his Institute with all his marbles still totally intact. My brother now, although working in our Education Department (at one point in Catholic Education here and he helped write the Catholic education carriculum) lectures in Reality Therapy and also trains Reality Therapy therapists or wanna be therapists.
