Sadly, not as good as it could be.
5.40 upon waking - morning offering, consecration to immaculate heart of mary, ave, pater, few other prayers to guardian angels etc
6am - Morning Prayer
11:59am - Angelus
12pm - Afternoon Prayer
3pm - Prayer to Divine Mercy + usually say the chaplet once or twice sometime during the day
5pm - Rosary
6pm - Evening Prayer
9pm - Night Prayer
9.30pm - Prayers before bed, ave, pater, etc
Hoping that my schedule will slowly get better and more rigorous so that I can prepare fully for when I go to Papa Stronsay.

i usually pray a Most Holy Rosary before school and before i go too bed i usually pray some Chaplet, novena, etc. (and I’m trying too get in the habit of reading my Holy Bible) may i ask whats your prayer routine? God bless

you may think it a fun question but also a good question for many.
Hello, and yes I am new here and willing to join in.
First of all I personally do not have a daily prayer routine but go by the flow or lead by the Spirit, whichever termology you prefer. But I do know that some Roman Catholics and even Anglicans do have a strict set of prayers. This is good because it helps them to pray when they may otherwise not pray or don’t know what to pray.
But I am concerned that those who pray by set prayers alone, forget to try and listen and will not be able to respond to Gods love in prayer because they do not experience free spirit. I don’t know and may well be very wrong in my assumption because that is all it is.
I cannot imagine for one minute that any experienced catholic would only pray with set prayers. But that is different to what you are asking about daily prayer routine. This is actually one of the biggest stumbling blocks that definately deter me from the Holy Orders. (Apart from the knowledge that my own level of confidence and for my own mental health well being the Holy Orders is not the way for me) I like prayer to be free and whilst Nuns may get plenty of free time prayer? Their whole day is around services that are set before them and don’t get to experience any of the ‘fun’ we non Holy Order people have.
I in my time have contemplated Holy Orders but after some own personal work I know it isn’t for me. I am much happier being an ordinary member of a parish church and commit myself to God that way, free from routine prayer and free to serve God via prayer without it being a daily burden/routine/drudge. I have a certain amount of feeling for the ordained who have to say morning and evening prayer every day. That becomes just a matter to be got through? Even if they are being genuine enough it is a matter to be got through.
So, for me Daily prayer routine, I chat to God but do not have a fixed routine because it isn’t helpful for me because I soon fall into the trap of it being a routine

When I get up in the morning I pray the Our Father, the Hail Mary, and the Glory Be. During 40 Days for Life, I’ve add a prayer for those in the abortion industry, those opposing it, and those considering an abortion
Throughout the day I pray a number of Hail Marys as needed, and often pray to Christ from the heart.
My wife and I say grace together before dinner, using a prayer format that I created for the purpose, with some difference in a particular day’s petition(s).
Before bed, we pray the Prayer for Priests, one additional prayer each from a Catholic Devotional booklet or a prayer card, the Rosary, the Divine Mercy Chaplet, and finally St. Gertrude’s Prayer.
I say another prayer for the 40 Days for Life before I go to sleep.
I say additional Rosaries and Divine Mercy Chaplets throughout the week during Eucharistic Adoration and when I’m praying outside of the local abortion clinic.
Oh, and I pray in the Prayer Requests forum here a few times a day.

When I go to bed I pray the Confiteor, the Miserere, the Memorare, St. Gertrude’s Prayer, the Requiem Aeternam, the day’s Mass readings in the EF from my missal, and the Holy Rosary.
I didn’t know that the Liturgy of the Hours was so popular among lay people.

Around 6:00 am., morning offering, Litany of Precious Blood or Sacred Heart, and some other special prayers to angels and BVM, then rosary around 7:00. Then Mass. Angelus at noon. One liturgy of the hours. A 15 min bible reading. Night prayers, and often a chotki in bed.
Thursday prayers for priests. Friday Eucharistic adoration. Rosaries for some bishops on various dates.

My day start with
wake up between 4am and 5am, I say the rosary
around 6am I say prayers for the souls in purgatory and a consecration prayer to the Holy Spirit.
Also say, Legion of Mary Tessera
Leave the house at 6:20 to go to Mass at 7:25, usually in Church at 7:AM as I help to set up for Mass.
Before Bed around 9PM, I say the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.
This is my usual routine.

I’ve only following this routine for a short time, and like rhiannonh, I am flexible.
– whenever I open my eyes, I do a quick morning offering
– between 5:30 - 6AM (or something like that), I pray laudes and prime. If I don’t get to pray them at home, I pray them during my morning commute.
– Sext around 12 PM (rarely)
– None around 3 PM (rarely)
– Vespers during my evening commute (between 6-7:30 PM)
– Compline sometime (between 9-11PM)
– Rosary - right before bed (1-2x a week).
Other prayers at any time during the day or evening.
I am still experimenting on what I am able to do, but I hope to get into a regular routine soon.

I am very Ignatain in my spritiuality so I try to make everything I do a “prayer”.
That said, this is my typical daily routine:
-before my feet hit the floor in the AM I offer prayers of thanksgiving for a new day and for the strength and courage to endure my blessings throughout the day.
-if I can’t get to daily Mass, I read & meditate on the readings for the day on my bus ride to work.
-if my schedule allows, I spend about 45 minutes to an hour in Ignatian style meditation on whatever reading spoke to me the loudest that morning in the afternoon. If my work schedule is too crazy on a particular day, I may have to wait until I get home for this.
-in the evening, after the husband goes to bed and all of my responsibilities are taken care of I spend about a half an hour doing some “spiritual reading” and some journaling. After complete those I do the Ignatian Examen and then it’s off to to prepare for bed.
-after I am settled in bed, I pray a Hail Mary, an Our Father and the Nunc Dimittis, along with prayers of petitions for all those who asked me to pray for them that day, and for those who have no one to pray for them.

Boy do I feel guilty reading all these!
I am a new Catholic. I usually just pray in the evenings at a family altar I put together, praying for seminarians and priests, my special “adopted” priest, and for the Pope’s intentions. I also pray a decade of Hail Mary’s followed by a request to St Dymphna to pray for me (I suffer from severe anxiety). I try to do a Rosary also at this time but am not always able to have enough uninterrupted time. I pray a general prayer to the Lord, asking for personal requests, praising Him, thanking Him, asking for guidance, etc. Then I read a chapter in the Bible, a section of the CCC, and a reading about that day’s Saint.

Morning Prayer and Mass in the morning, Evening Prayer in the evening, and a 5 decade Rosary at some point in the day. I also do an Ignatian meditation during the day and a short reading from Patristic writings. Once I’m through RCIA I’m hoping to start regular Eucharistic Adoration once a week too. I’m trying to improve!

I start with a special one on one prayer offering with my crucifix that my dad took to Vietnam with him. After that I drive to work offering a decade of the rosary for special intentions for people I know who need God’s help and mercy. Throughout the day now I have added prayers at lunch and prayers on the way home. I started reading the Bible this week (at the recommendation of a priest I had confession with Monday night and I end the day with a nightly prayer asking for God to watch over one particular friend of mine who I care deeply for and want her to be cared for by God.

Why? I personally think you are doing great and you shouldn’t judge your prayre routine by that of others. We all talk to and honor God in our own ways.
I personally love the family altar you mentioned. That is a very nice touch and has me now thinking of making something along those lines.
