Daily Readings

I’ve been away from the church for a long time and now feel that my kids (ages 9 and 11) and I have alot of catching up to do.

Can anyone recommend a website that would give me the Catholic church’s daily readings as well as an interpretation or explanation of the readings? Something both the kids and I can understand.

The readings themselves are available from the US Bishops web site: usccb.org/nab/index.shtml

A beautiful site that relies on the daily readings is Sacred Space: sacredspace.ie/ It’s not an explanation, however, but meditations on the readings.

I got Chrysostom’s from his commentary on Acts, and the Gospel reading from the Catena from St. Thomas Aquinas.
