How I wish we did, from the bottom of my heart. I am a recent Catholic, my H a nominal anything. How I sincerely wish we were united in our faith. My 15 yo son actually is starting confirmation this fall. PTL.

You couples are SO incredibly lucky if you both are Catholic, and your families. Don’t let it slide. Be active, live your faith, do something about it. Pray the Rosary, be active. Christ counts on YOU to raise the next generation. There is no excuse here. BE the spiritual leaders you can be in YOUR homes. This is so awesome. I hope and pray maybe one day, Lord willing we in our household can be likewise.

My family is not Catholic, but my BF’s family always used to pray the rosary together every night when they were all younger (4 kids and the parents). Now they are all grown, youngest 22, and they say the rosary on their own every day, truly appreciating its meaning.

We pray one decade after dinner before anyone gets up from the table. Then, since my kids are 1 and 2, they can get up. I usually have prayed all the other decades throughout the day either with them or alone. It is the perfect time to do it (after dinner) and I love the tradition.

I saw a commercial on EWTN. A mother was tucking her young son into bed. He said he learned to pray the Rosary that day and asked her if she’d pray it with him. She began to make excuses and hem and haw, he looked disappointed and dropped his head, then she agreed. The same thing happened when the dad came by the room, and then the same with the teenaged daughter who was about to go out with friends. The commercial ends with everybody sitting on the kid’s bed praying the Rosary.

Now get through that commercial without crying–I dare you!
