I have started to pray the rosary daily and wish to continue daily.
I don’t really have any specific intentions for doing this, but I think im just drawn to it, feel empty without saying it everyday…as well as praying for my past sins (major sins…although already forgiven)…and possibly hoping that everything turns out right?..having problems in life ( ie :health, relationships…).

One of Mary’s promises of the rosary is that if you endure saying it till the end, that no matter how major your sins are…you will reach heaven…Do you think that this is true?..
…it dosent mean im thinking " oh I can sin however want, I will still go to heaven b/c I say it daily…".

I heard that a saint said something like this: if you pray, you’ll get into Heaven, because if you fall into a state of mortal sin, you will either stop praying or stop sinning. (They put it more elegantly than that!)

Prayer has very strong powers, which we do not seem to realize. It has a strong effect on us as well as a strong effect in the spiritual realm.

I wish this was true. My STBX husband was and still continues to pray the rosary and Divine Mercy with his girlfriend. They believe that God brought them together and have had on many occasions in the past few years, their intentions answered. Not only were their intentions answered, but they were answered for the most selfish circumstances.

For awhile, most of our children didn’t even want anything to do with God or the Church. Now it’s about half of our children.

The children have an “emotional allergy” to the rosary and Divine Mercy chaplet. One goes into full blown anxiety attacks. For me, its hit or miss depending on the venue. Sad.

May I ask, who is the saint that said this and where do I find him or her, because we certainly need some intercession and healing in my household?

Mary has promised many benefits personally and for the Church @ large if only more of the faithful will pray the Rosary

i will pray the Rosary with you

please pray the Rosary

the Rosary can save us all

I’m glad to hear that your saying the rosary. I try to do it daily. Some intentions I have are for the souls in purgatory, for those who do not worship love or adore the Lord, for those suffering from cancer, mental illness and emotional problems and last but not least for an end to abortion and euthanasia.😉

Mary has asked us specifically & personally (at Fatima,) to pray the Rosary

how much clearer can it be made?

I am sorry not to have responded sooner: I was trying to find the saint who said this. I heard it in a talk, but have also heard or read it elsewhere.

I am so sorry that your family is being put through this. I hope you all have a very good priest who can help you through this. I feel like any advice I offered would be very elementary, but one thought I had was to perhaps chose a different devotion, maybe to the Sacred Heart, to help your children?

Prayers for you and your family.

During Lent I prayed the Rosary daily and kept a journal of my intentions. The weather was nice during Lent so I would pray while walking. It has been hit or miss since Easter. If I wait to say it at night when I am in bed, I usually fall asleep before I finish.
I have a weekly Adoration hour and should make a point to at least pray it weekly, but I would like to do it daily.

.
Well, no, that information is incorrect.

I’d recommend going to the following link: ourladyswarriors.org/prayer/15promise.htm

Two further resources:

(1) If you’re interested in what I’d consider a quasi-skeptical view of the fifteen promises, here’s an article by Jimmy Akin: ncregister.com/blog/jimmy-akin/are-the

(2) If you’re interested in a more traditional view, then go here: sentrad.org/multimedia/

Do a ctrl-F search for “Rosary as a Spiritual Weapon”

Then download the talk, in accordance with Fr. Ripperger’s “Penanceware” concept, which is explained at the top of the page.

God bless you for the grace you have received, the grace that pulls you towards God and towards praying the Rosary daily. The Rosary is a very powerful tool.

I think it is right for you to pray for past sins, not in the sense that you require forgiveness (given you have been to confession), but in the sense that you wish not to repeat certain habits.

I am not sure about Mary’s promise, I don’t really think it matters. Pray to Mary, because she is your Mother, and she will do everything in her power to help you, and she will bring you closer to God. Most of all, trust in God. Pray unceasingly, don’t worry.

Thanks everyone for the replys.

I used to pray with a different rosary then the one I am using now…a few? months back…I was praying and it somehow got tangled really really bad…and during my prayer I was trying to untangle it…but the knot got even worse…and then with all the untangling it broke…so I’ve started with another one…I was praying today…and once again noticed some little tangles inbetween the metals? of the beads…I tried untangling again…and the rosary broke into half and I fixed it…

Does this happen a lot to u too?..I don’t know if im too looking into stuff, but I get thefeeling? that maybe the devil is angry and trying to break up my rosarys…second time already…

No. I have never had that happen, but I try to pay attention to the way I hold it when I am praying. I can see how easy it would be for the Rosary to get tangled though.

I sort if rub the bead I am on back and forth between my fingers and this does start a twisting of my Rosary (even tho I think since I am doing it back and forth it shouldn’t). So by the end of the 3rd or 4th mystery, I have to let my Rosary hang loose and gently shake and wiggle the twists out. Perhaps you are unconsciously twisting your beads? Or perhaps you keep your rosary in a little container where it gets tangled?

You might be pulling on the beads too hard. Don’t rush through it. Make sure your rosary is untangled before you start by spreading it out. Keep it up and don’t let anyone or anything stop you.
