Hello;

Does anyone happen to know of a book that has the Sunday epistles and Gospels for the Byzantine-Ruthenian church? I know there is a Lectionary available (with only the epistles) and of course the Book of Gospels, but I’m looking for a single volume. Daily readings would be fine too.

I really don’t like looking up the readings in a Bible and would prefer to have a “missal” of sorts. I think the Byzantine Seminary Press used to print one, but no one seems to know anything about them…

The readings are the same in the byzantine tradition in almost all cases. Including the Orthodox Church. You might try the Russian Orthodox lectionaries.

That really wouldn’t work. The Gospel and epistle readings in the Catholic Church (even in the East) are based on the NAB, while they are based on the KJV or other versions in the Orthodox state churches…

I get my daily readings from the calendar that our Pastor gives out every year. The calendar posts the Epistle and Gospel for each day of the year.

I should know, I used to post the Saints and Feasts in the old thread. If asked I could do that again, if enough people ask me (including Catherine!)😉

Edwin, I am asking and while we`re on the subject thank you for your daily scripture posts on the old thread. 🙂
