I might be late and there is another thread on this film I’m not aware off. You see I watch films on DVD instead of a theater. My small town has no theater.
Anyway I got the DVD and watched it last night. This is not a picture for the young or squeamish. It has a lot of drug use and immoral hetero sex relations.
The principal played by Matthew Maconohay (sp) is a very hetero rodeo cowboy who is shocked to find out that he has AIDS. He thinks that AIDS is only something that “f@gs” get. He is shunned by his former cowboy friends. But he ends up kinda sorta making friends with another man with AIDS and going into business selling AZT and other hiv medications.
I was a little touched watching this film. Before retirement I worked in heath care myself and cared for a married hetero couple that both died of AIDS.
