It doesn’t have to be in close quarters. My parents generation danced with arms outstretched, one hand on the waist, the other arm outstretched holding hands. It was proper, and perfectly fine…and they didn’t have to ruin it with a bunch of thinking! Ladies and gentlemen have been dancing for centuries, with no sexual overtones.There’s no need to do something which looks like sex.
As for slow-dancing, well, I don’t have a problem with it, but I’d feel odd about such close quarters with a stranger. I’m talking about a situation when it looks like hugging, not when it looks sexual, in which case look above.
