Dangerous surgery; PLEASE PRAY!

A young person I know is having a very dangerous but necessary brain surgery. They are not Christian, but I’ve been requested to pray for them by another friend. This surgery is rather deadly, and the patient hasn’t told many people, including their estranged parents. Please, please pray! St. Luke, St. Martin, St. Monica, St. Augustine, pray for us! Our Lady of Sorrows, intercede for us! Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful, and kindle in them the fire of Your Love. Send forth Your Spirit, and they shall be created, and You shall renew the face of the earth. Amen.

Praying that this young one survives this surgery and it has a positive outcome. Also praying they have support during this time and are given strength by God to cope with the uncertainty.

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal Hawkmaid’s friend. You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Hawkmaid’s friend’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

PRAYER TO BL. JANE OF AZA

Dearest Jane, we earnestly give to you our petitions this day. We have confidence in your intercession because you were once a wife and mother like so many of us. Born to a noble family, you were married to another noble and gave birth to five children. When the eldest two boys became priests, you went to the shrine of St. Dominic Silos to beg for another son to carry on the family name and line. Your prayers were answered in the form of a dream in which St. Dominic Silos came you and said this child would be a shining light for the Church.

A son was born to you, and you called him Dominic after the saint who commended your request to God. As he grew to manhood, it was evident that he had extraordinary virtue and grace. You too allowed him to study for the religious life. He was the founder of the Dominicans.

Since through a Saint’s petitions your urgent prayers were granted, we beseech you to listen to our prayers and lay them at the feet of Jesus. Please pray for our families, our children, for all those who have strayed from the Faith which you and your son so loved, and for all those who will die this day, especially priests and religious. Please also include this person who is having serious brain surgery today. Thank you, Bl. Jane. Amen.
