Anybody else watching this?
I’ve never seen the comic book but I just watched the first season on Netflix over the past week.
A blind hero (without super powers) is an interesting concept. He supposedly makes up for his blindness with extra sensitive hearing, smell, &c but somehow I don’t think that would really allow him to take on half a dozen bad guys at a time.

He is also Catholic and talks to his priest sometimes but doesn’t confess even though he is sinning by taking the law into his own hands. Btw, the priest assures him that their conversations are under the seal even though he isn’t confessing so I’m not sure if that’s true.

The super-rich bad guy is played by Vincent D’Onofrio and he has gotten huge, which is sad, I didn’t even recognize him.
 
Daredevil knows he can’t receive absolution because he has not plans to stop being a vigilante.

The priest knows he needs a spiritual advisor and is using the seal of confession to help him feel free to open up. The priest pretty much knows that he won’t get absolution until he’s done, but is treating their meetings as confession as a way to get Matt feel safe about talking with him.
 
I’ve been curious to watch this but hesitated because it’s supposed to be extremely violent.
 
Daredevil is my favorite super hero but I am hesitant to watch as well because of the possibility of extreme violence???
 
As for violence there are a few truly scenes but they show how characters were formed. The show certainly doesn’t glorify violence nor is there any violence for it’s own sake.

There are a few scenes where I had to watch with my hand over my eyes. I wouldn’t let children watch it… but it was good and worth watching for adults.

And I agree… it does not glorify violence, and even shows how a bad childhood can lead people to do evil things.
 
I love this show! One of my favorite things is what is “power” is(reminds me alot of toph from avatar the last air bender) And how he tries not to kill makes him more relatable (I’m not against that kind of stuff in fiction its just nice to see fresh things) the story is pretty interesting

As for violence the worst I saw was someones eye being poked out(the one thing I never can get over in any game or movie)

I would recommend this show if your into the hero genre

Wait til you see the King Pin kill someone. That’s the most violent
