Once upon a time I fell for a girl I played chess with.
Thatās easily the greatest comic strip EVER!! Iāve got the entire collection! Iām going to take this advice and try this sort of thing when I get a GFā¦Okay, my toddler sister just whacked my keyboard so I have no idea if the half-written reply postedā¦
My BF and I have been courting/dating (we call it either) for 3 months, 1 at college and 2 at our respective homes (75 miles apart). Hereās some of the things we like to do:
-Holy Hours. Not a chatty kind of date but you can talk on the way there and back and there isnāt much better, in my opinion, than being able to spend time with my ātwo favorite guysā (Jesus and my BF).
-On campus there was a coffeehouse once a week. Music, cheap smoothiesāhard to beat.
-Walks. Itās a good way to de-stress and if you donāt want to talk there isnāt the pressure of sitting there looking at each other. Iām noticing a theme with the not-talkingāI guess neither of us is very talkative, though we manage okay during phone calls.
-Calvin and Hobbes. For those of you who donāt know, this is a comic strip. My BF owns almost every book there is of C&H. We like to sit together and read them. I know, we are certified geeks but if thatās the sort of thing you enjoy then go for it.
-Since summer started, weāve been spending time with each otherās families, having dinner and such. This is a really great way to get to know the person āin contextā, if you will. Plus my BF has 4 younger siblings who keep the conversation going, let me tell you.
