Daughters boyfriend thinks he wants to be a priest

He’s in his late 20’s. At the retreat my daughter is attending there will be several people, including a you g man who was at seminary with him and also left, who may be able to enlighten her as to why he left. Personally, I think he just is an over achiever/ type A personality who can’t stand to fail. I’m unsure what advice to give my daughter at this point. I think she should wait until she gets back from her retreat and see how he is and what he’s decided before doing anything but she is saying she doesn’t know how much more of this she can take.

He is an adult, and he is unstable. He refuses to talk (receive counseling). He will NOT change in the future. He is who he is, and he must own his behaviors. He refuses to do so, and acts out at every opportunity.

If she “does not know how much more of this she can take” *… then she has her answer.

She needs to walk away and save herself from a horrible future.*

I think this is good. Distance will clear her head a bit and maybe she will have a chance to talk to someone about this.

I now hope that she will decide to end the relationship because living with people such as her boyfriend is hellish.

I will pray for her, as well as for you because I am sure this is very difficult for you to watch.
