I have a young friend who’s sister is talking bad about her mother on facebook. I let the young girl know about what her sister was saying. It was terrible things that shouldn’t be aired in public. Saying she cheated on her deceased father with this one and that one. I told the girl that one day her sister would want to talk to her mom and there will be no one to talk to. These actions kill your soul don’t they? And any kind of relationship one might have established in some way with God. They’re not catholic but my young friend’s sister has multiple personality and bipolar. I said there’s more here than meets the eye…and said maybe she should see a psychiatrist and she said her sister had these problems.
Code:
When there are some kind of problems in someone or a marriage that causes cheating that needs to be taken care of privately and not aired. My friends said what she's saying isn't true.
What kind of damage is done with your walk with God? The average person’s walk?

“These actions kill your soul don’t they?”

And so does sticking your nose where it doesn’t belong.

Chapter 3 of the letter of James is important to pray and ponder over. It is about restraining the tongue.

Something that is true but damaging, and doesn’t need to be said to certain people or in a certain venue, can constitute the sin of ‘detraction.’
newadvent.org/cathen/04757a.htm

If you really feel the need to say something, share that tidbit tactfully.

How old is this girl? If she is truly mentally ill and it is causing this, the damage will be quite different than from a person in another situation.

If you know the girls mother then you can take her aside and tell her that you arent interfering but you feel she should know that her daughter is saying bad things about her and that it can be read by others…

Then its up to the mother to get the girl appropriate help for her daughters mental health or counselling therapy for their mother daughter relationship…

I think she is twenty. I have older and younger friends. But the girl hit her mother and they are all not speaking. The younger sister talks to me and we’re facebook friends. And in real life. The twenty year old is posting about her mother things negative. I told the younger girl I didn’t want to get involved but she said the twenty year old blocked her younger sis and their mother from each other and the mother wants to know what’s being said. I know both the girls. But not their mother. Does this make sense?

The twenty year old doesn’t live with her mother and is in a sad situation. Her younger sister told her mother what the older sister said because she wanted me to copy and paste what was said. I told the youngest I am sorry for her mother. And it was called a night.

When I was very manic, I might published some things about people from time to time. In my case not people in my own family as much as more “institutional” people.

I cannot think of any strategy by which someone’s concerned intervention about what I wrote would have stopped me.

Yes, it’s a bad situation. But other than informing your friend that it’s going on, I don’t know whether you have a role in this. I wish I could be more encouraging, but when I was manic I tended to be “led” by “forces greater than myself” if not directly “Spirit led.”

The only thing that might have made me pay attention, is if somebody actually convinced me that doing these things would result in my being locked up in a psych ward or jail. One thing I didn’t like was to be tied down by “fools” who were not tied into the Big Picture as I assumed I was through my guiding forces and therefore could possibly cause catastrophic harm to me, others, themselves, and society at large if they tried to stop me from doing the things I “had” to do; whether good or evil. Like if security guards would start to surround me, that was a signal I needed a different ploy.

I have no role to play in this no. Other than as you said, the young woman wanting me to show her what was said. She said her mother wanted to know. She told me today the younger girl that her older sis has threatened to kill her and her mom if she goes to a baby shower. The only other thing I could do is explain what mental illness is and I don’t think the young girl has an ear for it.

Now what I know, for my own knowledge, concerning the "Disassociative identity disorder, the new term for multiple personality disorder is that there can be triggers that cause the shifting to another personality and feelings of lapses in time.

Does the mother know about this? Threats to kill someone else can get the older daughter institutionalized.

I guess so. The younger daughter told me today she has done this. She must be manic now, rather than hypomanic.
