Please continue to pray for David. He is still drinking but he is opening up to the Spirit. He went to mass with me this past Sunday and said he would consider going to a daily mass. He is also beginning to speak of some of the pain he feels. I know this may be a long haul with him but lately there has been spots of hope in him.

Lord please help David as he contuines his fight. God Bless:signofcross:

I had a loved brother David who was an alcoholic.

Dear Jesus You know the awfulness of alcoholism. You see how much distress and hopelessness and damage it brings. Please lead David with Your love and healing, to a life free of this terrible burden. Bless his friend who is helping him and allow this person’s caring to be a part of David’s healing. Thank You Jesus. We trust in You.

O Lord, we thank You for the spark that You have ignited in David. Send the wind of Your Holy Spirit to fan that spark into a raging fire of holiness and passion for Your truth. Help David break the chains of alcoholism. In Jesus name we pray.

St Michael the Archangel, please protect David from temptation and lead him to Jesus Christ. Amen:gopray:

O Venerable Matt Talbot, I ask you to interceed for David that he may courageously beat his addiciton with the help and mercy of our ever loving Father. Amen!

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

I’m praying for God to help him “put down that bottle” and open up his heart and mind.

I pray to God that David gives up being an alcoholic.
