Thank you all for your prayers but keep praying. David has not been drinking for the past three days. He is going through an intense detox. He opted not to go into a facility and do it at home. I pray to the Blessed Mother daily and ask for her intercession and now I pray to you for your continued support in prayer. He is in much pain from vomiting so much and looks shell shocked to be without his alcohol. He will need God to help him fully recover into a man that can sustain and nurture relationships. He has his family, one friend, and me. Pray for us that we might be able to be God’s instruments.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen

Praying for your intention- I will remember him in my rosary today.

Get him to AA. This is vital to his recovery. It is not a cult. AA is a great gift from God. Get him in there or I am sorry to say that statistically speaking, he will die!

I will try to get him to AA. I am willing to go to all of the meetings with him until he finds his way. At present he feels most drawn to church. He attends mass with me and I attend his Christian church with him. I appreciate your warning and now that he is sober he may be more open to going back to AA.

He needs to find a sponsor who will work the 12 steps with him rapidly. That is how they were made to be done when AA was founded. Now, success rates in AA are way down because people are no longer working the 12 steps but only going to meetings. He needs to find a sponsor who will work the steps with him. There is work to be done, and nobody wants to do it, but it will in the end save his life. If you have any questions message me.

Father, we beg of you to remove this addiction from
David and from all who suffer with alcoholism.
Grant him strength as he fights this battle.
Guide him to be addicted to only your love!
AMEN
