And your point is? He is very fortunate that he didn’t kill himself or someone else and this is his third time? It just seems like any of these “child” stars very lead good clean lives.
He did things with his mother Shirley Jones before that and I believe that the show was her idea. He grew up in the business. this is his third time and he is lucky no one was killed. The show was actually ground braking in a number of areas, foremost is that it portrayed and single working women raising a family and juggling it all. Only he and his mother actually sang and the rest of them lip sinked the songs. There are similar parallels between this old 70’s show and Hannah Montana. Both featured a child star with their parent, both tried to portray themselves as just ordinary families while doing show business and both ended up with the main star having messed up lives and bad choices. He was 20 and a half when the Partridge Family began airing…would that still make him a “child star”?

my concern is more about the drunk driving. I had to testify once in a drunk driving case where an innocent man on his way to get pizza was killed. Drunk driving isn’t funny whether it is some famous person like David Cassidy or anyone else. The case I was called into to testify ended in that person being convicted of second degree murder. Someone like him who not only was driving drunk once but three times ought to be off the street totally. There should be no tolerance for it at all but it seems like people want to give the famous who do drive drunk some slack. He should never drive again.Cut the guy some slack. He hasn’t had the best of lives. His dad was an untreated bi-polar patient and alcoholic, who was burned to death because he was drunk and smoking in bed. His mom–not Shirley–suffered with Alzheimer’s for years as he watched her getting more and more debilitated. (He is an activist for Alzheimer’s research.) I do not condone Cassidy’s behavior. Let me repeat that: I do not condone Cassidy’s behavior. People should not drink and drive. But I can certainly see why he drinks: part genetic, part environment.
That’s it. That’s my :twocents:
