Here in Ontario we still have wait times for primary health care. It isn’t as bad as it used to be, but it’s still there. Last month 36 patients were flown to the US for neurosurgery because we lack the facilities to care for them here.

Yet, who has to wait for an abortion? No one.

Folks are wondering where their health dollars are going. Fewer nurses and doctors. Wait times for elective surgery. All abortions are elective. Why are there no wait times for them? Why is money being poured into abortion clinics when Aunty Agnes has to stumble around on a bad hip for a year?

And then more money is being poured into treating women for complications arising from abortions within the first year after their procedure?

Some of you may remember David MacDonald from Cats. Some of you may remember his dramatic Tiber cross story at St Josephs Oratory. Some of you may have been linking to his great apologetics on one of his websites or have been listening to his music on another.

Well here is a David and Goliath story: David is running the pro-life ticket against Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty in the provincial election this October. Lots of prayers for David, please. Thank you.

That is an excellent idea. If people should have to wait two or more years to get an artificial hip or a heart valve job done, I think a wait of even half that amount of time for abortions should quite reasonable.

I love your math, Leopard. This is obviously a Canadian story, but I am interested in the situation in the US too. Do you have a wait-time problem down there? Any idea about how many health care resources, staff, and so on are being diverted to abortuaries?

The Canadian government has instituted a number of laws and programs in recent years that are, at best, controversial. It is sad that such things are happening.

I will pray for David MacDonald and continue to for the people of Canada.

Yes, we do. There is no wait-time to procure an abortion, and that’s the problem.
