David Suchet -In the Footsteps of St Paul

This is a BBC two part documentary presented by the actor David Suchet famous for the role of Inspector Poirot in the Agatha Christie TV series.

David Suchet is now a Christian, from a Jewish/atheist background. It was reading St Paul’s letters from a bible in a Hotel room that first inspired him to further interest.

I watched it on TV just before Christmas, and found it really interesting seeing all those places Paul travelled to, very enlightening and spiritual too.

I really enjoyed this too. Well written, beautifully filmed and he was an intelligent and thoughtful presenter.

Pros: Beautiful scenery and an enjoyable narrator and host.

Cons: It tends towards the Anglican/non-traditional views, especially in calling St. Paul “a progressive” in part 2 and speaking at length about women’s ordination.
