Dear Brothers and Sisters,
St. Louis de Montfort learned from the Holy Spirit, the Truth of Jesus. He was steeped in prayerful reading of the Scripture, and knew Jesus was sent by the Father, to us, through Mary by the overshadowing of the Holy Spirit. Mary is necessary for us if we are to receive Jesus according to the Father’s Will. Many are unaware of Mary at first; but as one grows in Christ, it is important to continue opening ourselves to Jesus’ words from the Cross: “Behold your Mother”(John 19:27).
St. Louis in guiding us through the 33 day journey of preparation for total consecration to Jesus through Mary, has heard deeply Jesus’ words at the beginning of His ministry: We hear in the Gospels of Matthew and Mark:

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Mt.4:17)
Our journey has led us through days of seeking to “rid ourselves of the spirit of the world” and to gain “true knowledge of ourselves”. By God’s grace, hopefully we have repented and are ready to begin to behold our Mother with a purer heart to see by faith all we are called to be. In reading True Devotion, we learn God’s beautiful Plan, continually working in souls through every age. For this week of our journey, St. Louis wrote:“This is the time of fulfillment. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” (Mark 1:15)
Litany of the Holy Spirit - HERE
- Each day of the second week they should endeavor in all their prayers and works to acquire an understanding of the Blessed Virgin and ask the Holy Spirit for this grace. They may read and meditate upon what we have already said about her. They should recite daily the Litany of the Holy Spirit and the Ave Maris Stella as during the first week. In addition they will say at least five decades of the Rosary for greater understanding of Mary.
