Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Blessed and Holy be this Great Day of Resurrection – Jesus is risen! The Novena He asked St. Faustina to make and to share with us continues:
Third Day
“Today bring to Me all Devout and Faithful Souls, and immerse them in the ocean of My mercy. These souls brought me consolation on the Way of the Cross. They were a drop of consolation in the midst of an ocean of bitterness.”
Most Merciful Jesus, from the treasury of Your mercy, You impart Your graces in great abundance to each and all. Receive us into the abode of Your Most Compassionate Heart and never let us escape from It. We beg this grace of You by that most wondrous love for the heavenly Father with which Your Heart burns so fiercely.
Eternal Father, turn Your merciful gaze upon faithful souls, as upon the inheritance of Your Son. For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, grant them Your blessing and surround them with Your constant protection. Thus may they never fail in love or lose the treasure of the holy faith, but rather, with all the hosts of Angels and Saints, may they glorify Your boundless mercy for endless ages. Amen.
Lord, we thank You for all Your Love, poured out on Calvary, which you continue to offer us. Open our hearts to receive and to share Your Mercy on this great Feast of Your Resurrection.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

†

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

†

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

†

Given today’s intention in the Chaplet, I think it’s even more appropriate that the Lord called a devout and faithful soul, Mother Angelica, home to Himself today. I offer this chaplet for the repose of her soul.

Thanks, dear pollylodges.

Dear MrZoom,

Thanks for your prayers and for your reply. Yes, how very appropriate our Novena Prayer for yesterday, Easter Sunday, the Great Feast of the Resurrection, was for dear Mother Angelica. I’m repeating it here today, so others can better appreciate your insight:

I underlined words that made me think of Mother Angelica. I believe she was a drop of consolation to the Lord in His Passion, in that ocean of bitterness. May perpetual Light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the Faithful Departed rest in peace. Amen,
