Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Today is the Lord’s Day, let us be glad and rejoice in it! God willing as we participate in the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass today, let us offer ourselves as Mary did with Jesus to the Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Let us be willing to die with Him and rise with Him, receiving the Resurrected, Living Jesus in Holy Communion. We may remember some of the suggestions for Holy Communion given by St. Louis de Montfort in his book True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin. He wrote a special supplement for practicing the True Devotion before, during, and after Holy Communion. I can never remember all he suggests, but I do ask Mary to be with me as I go forward to receive Jesus; and after receiving Him, I know she is with me as she remains always in union with Jesus.

St. Louis knows well the uniqueness of each soul so he concludes with these words:
  1. There are innumerable other thoughts with which the Holy Spirit will inspire you, which he will make yours if you are thoroughly recollected and mortified, and constantly faithful to the great and sublime devotion which I have been teaching you. But remember, the more you let Mary act in your Communion the more Jesus will be glorified. The more you humble yourself and listen to Jesus and Mary in peace and silence - with no desire to see, taste or feel - then the more freedom you will give to Mary to act in Jesus’ name and the more Jesus will act in Mary. For the just man lives everywhere by faith, but especially in Holy Communion, which is an action of faith.
May this be a true day of rest in Jesus and Mary for all of us.

Come Holy Spirit, inspire us. Litany of the Holy Spirit HERE
Mother Mary, pray for us and act in Jesus’ Name, in our Communion today. Ave Maris Stella HERE
Lord Jesus, act in Mary, for we open our hearts to you in faith. Meek and Humble Jesus, make our hearts like Yours, as Mary’s Heart is. Litany of the Holy Name of Jesus HERE

“O Jesus, living in Mary, come and live in Your servants, in the spirit of Your holiness, in the fullness of Your power, in the perfection of Your ways, in the truth of Your virtues, in the communion of Your mysteries. Rule over every adverse power, in Your Spirit, for the glory of the Father. Amen.” – Prayer of Fr. Olier

Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us!
Dear liturgy96,

Thanks for your prayerful reply. How beautiful a title that is: “Mother of the Church”; and what a beautiful and faithful Mother our dear Mother Mary is!!!
