Dear Brothers and Sisters,

We are so close to the end of this 33 Day Journey of Preparation for Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary! I hope it has been as much a blessing for you as it has for me. I haven’t had many replies but I know some of you have been reading the threads and that is part of my blessing!

Last night I was pondering the titles given to Jesus in the Litany of the Holy Name of Jesus - they are all beautiful and each one calls us to understand Jesus a little better – although we can never exhaust the infinite wonder of God! Let us for a few moments consider the first few in the Litany:
…Jesus, Son of the living God, R. Have mercy on us.
Jesus, splendor of the Father,
Jesus, brightness of eternal light.
Jesus, King of glory.
Jesus, sun of justice.
Jesus, Son of the Virgin Mary.
Jesus, most amiable…
How important it is always to remember FIRST - Jesus is Son of the Living God! and to ask for His Mercy !
Then, lest we be blinded by the splendor of the Father, and the brightness of eternal light shining from the Face of Jesus, King of glory and Son of justice, we are called to remember Jesus is Son of the Virgin Mary and Jesus is most amiable…

As Mary’s Son Jesus took to Himself our human nature; the Word was made Flesh and dwelt among us. It is somewhat difficult to go beyond those first six invocations of the Litany. May we linger, with Mary at those titles which the Holy Spirit inspires us to ponder today and open our hearts wide to receive all the love God has for us, and let it overflow to whomever and wherever He wills.

“O Jesus, living in Mary, come and live in your servants, in the spirit of holiness, in the fullness of your power, in the perfection of your ways, in the truth of your virtues, in the communion of your mysteries. Rule over every adverse power, in your Spirit, for the glory of the Father. Amen.” – prayer of Fr. Olier, S.S. (1608-1657)

Thank you for helping me keep Jesus (and Mary) in Christmas this year…
🎄

Dear petra,

Let us thank the Holy Spirit for helping us both! And be thankful as well for the intercession of Jesus, Mary, Joseph and all the saints in heaven who are praying for us. Without God’s help and the help of all our saints and Guardian Angels, we would not be able to do anything – I’m more and more convinced of Jesus’ words: “Without Me you can do nothing”. All of us need to work together in Jesus to build up His Body in Love.

You are sweet to write a “thank you message” to me, my dear sister, but I am a very little and poor member of the Body of Christ, and daily am growing more aware of my need to keep closer to Jesus and Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit and the prayers of all in heaven inreceding for us.

Christmas is like a “new beginning for us” especially this year as we made our Total Consecration together. Please let us continue to pray for one another, for the Church and for all those in most need of God’s Mercy. Today, by God’s Grace, let us begin to “LIVE” our Total Consecration with more love than ever!
