Dear Brothers and Sisters,
We are a week into our journey, by God’s Grace. Remembering the words of Luke’s Gospel, Mary “went with haste” into the hill country to visit Elizabeth, let us continue our journey praying to our Mother. May we travel with haste toward God’s Will for us.
Mary, overshadowed by the Holy Spirit knew God had done “great things for her”. We too having received the Holy Spirit know God has done great things for us in giving us a share in His Divine Life at our Baptism. We have not been as faithful as our Mother; but we now are seeking to renew our baptismal promises to live more truly as she lived in Jesus.
“O Jesus, living in Mary, come and live in your servants, in the spirit of your holiness, in the fullness of your power, in the perfection of your ways, in the truth of your virtues, in the communion of your mysteries. Rule over every adverse power, in your Spirit, for the glory of the Father. Amen.” – Prayer of Fr. Jean Jacques Olier, S.S. (1608-1657)
