Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It is always a blessing to experience the working of the Holy Spirit in the members of the Body of Christ. Sunday participation in the Bible Studies my husband leads at our parish enables me to hear others’ insights into the Mass Readings, that “enlarge my heart”. So it is on this thread and other threads when several of us are pondering God’s revelation through Scripture or the writings of the Saints or the Magisterium of the Church, we are enabled by Grace, to grow together in the Love of God poured forth into our hearts.

Today, as we begin again “to rid ourselves of the spirit of the world which opposes Christ”, let us listen to what the Lord would have us hear in words from “True Devotion” by St. Louis De Montfort:
  1. Finally, God in these times wishes his Blessed Mother to be more known, loved and honoured than she has ever been. This will certainly come about if the elect, by the grace and light of the Holy Spirit, adopt the interior and perfect practice of the devotion which I shall later unfold. Then they will clearly see that beautiful Star of the Sea, as much as faith allows. Under her guidance they will perceive the splendours of this Queen and will consecrate themselves entirely to her service as subjects and slaves of love. They will experience her motherly kindness and affection for her children. They will love her tenderly and will appreciate how full of compassion she is and how much they stand in need of her help. In all circumstances they will have recourse to her as their advocate and mediatrix with Jesus Christ. They will see clearly that she is the safest, easiest, shortest and most perfect way of approaching Jesus and will surrender themselves to her, body and soul, without reserve in order to belong entirely to Jesus.
I’ve underlined the words which some of us who have already consecrated ourselves totally, know to be true. For those who are on this journey for the first time, you may already be experiencing the desire to give more and receive more of the grace God has in store for each of us. There is no standing still in the spiritual life; we either go forward or backward. Let us remember the Word of God in 1 Cor 14:1 - “Make Love your aim…” God is Love and the saints have gone before us, showing us that Mary was God’s choice in bringing Jesus into the world, and He continues to give us the fullness of His Love through Mary.

Thank you for your postings regarding your journey to consecration … I am getting more and more excited about my own consecration which I will be doing in March. God Bless you.

Dear Katherine,

Thanks for your reply and encouragement. God willing, I will be renewing my Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary on the Feast of the Incarnation March 25 also. It is my “favorite Feast Day”!

God willing at that time, I will probably make the 33 Day journey again. It is always a “new journey” for I’m never the same – hopefully we are all growing day by day in God’s Grace. Each time I make this journey, I learn more, and am more grateful to God for His Love. 🙂
