Dear Brothers and Sisters,

By God’s Grace, may we trust fully in His Holy Spirit working within us His complete Truth. During these days of seeking to rid ourselves of the spirit of the world, preparing to consecrate or re-consecrate ourselves to Jesus through Mary, it is God’s Love that urges us. Without Him, we can do nothing (cf Jn 15:5)

Let us pray the Veni Creator Spiritus (Come Holy Spirit) and the Ave Maris Stella (Hail Star of the Sea) with open hearts to receive all God Alone can give us.
… See what love the Father has bestowed on us that we may be called the children of God. Yet so we are. The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know Him. Beloved, we are God’s children now; what we shall be has not yet been revealed. We do know that when it is revealed we shall be like Him, for we shall see him as He is. Everyone who has this hope based on Him makes himself pure, as He is pure. (1 Jn 3: 1-3)

I’m also consecrating myself to Jesus through Mary this Lenten season. (My 33 days started on February 20, so the consecration day will be March 25, The Feast of the Annunciation). May God bless you and all others who are doing the same.

Place prepared, beyond all joy and bliss, robed in Light.

Peace

Dear Hodegetria (what a beautiful username = “Wayshower” !)

(Please Note: This uploaded content is no longer available.)
Thanks for sharing with us, that you are on the journey to total consecration to Jesus through Mary with us. The Feast of the Annunciation is so important for us who desire to give ourselves to follow the Way Mary shows us, and to depend on her to intercede for us with all the graces we need. Please let us continue to pray for, and with, one another.

Thanks again hazmat. Your words reminded me of :
Who is she that comes forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in battle array (cf Song of Songs 6:10)
and also
A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth. (Rev. 12: 1-2)
For the joy that is set before us, by God’s Grace, may we endure the cross each day here.

Thank you all, I really needed these words of encouragement.

Praying for everyone!

Dear Hodegetria,

Yes, we all need to pray for and encourage one another – reminding one another of all we have been given and thus all we have to give. Mary is Mother and Model and she is interceding for us with her Son before the Father, by the power of His Holy Spirit.

Let us pray the Veni Creator Spiritus and the Ave Maris Stella today with great love and thanksgiving, trusting in God’s Love given to us through Mary:
Veni Creator Spiritus(Come Holy Spirit)
Come, Holy Spirit, Creator blest,
and in our souls take up Thy rest;
come with Thy grace and heavenly aid
to fill the hearts which Thou hast made.
O comforter, to Thee we cry,
O heavenly gift of God Most High,
O fount of life and fire of love,
and sweet anointing from above.
Thou in Thy sevenfold gifts are known;
Thou, finger of God’s hand we own;
Thou, promise of the Father,
Thou Who dost the tongue with power imbue.
Kindle our sense from above,
and make our hearts o’erflow with love;
with patience firm and virtue high
the weakness of our flesh supply.
Far from us drive the foe we dread,
and grant us Thy peace instead;
so shall we not, with Thee for guide,
turn from the path of life aside.
Oh, may Thy grace on us bestow
the Father and the Son to know;
and Thee, through endless times confessed,
of both the eternal Spirit blest.
Now to the Father and the Son,
Who rose from death, be glory given,
with Thou, O Holy Comforter,
henceforth by all in earth and heaven. Amen.
Ave Maris Stella (Hail, Star of the Sea)
Hail, O Star of the ocean,
God’s own Mother blest,
ever sinless Virgin,
gate of heav’nly rest.
Taking that sweet Ave,
which from Gabriel came,
peace confirm within us,
changing Eve’s name.
Break the sinners’ fetters,
make our blindness day,
Chase all evils from us,
for all blessings pray.
Show thyself a Mother,
may the Word divine
born for us thine Infant
hear our prayers through thine.
Virgin all excelling,
mildest of the mild,
free from guilt preserve us
meek and undefiled.
Keep our life all spotless,
make our way secure
till we find in Jesus,
joy for evermore.
Praise to God the Father,
honor to the Son,
in the Holy Spirit,
be the glory one. Amen.

  1. Veni, creator Spiritus
    mentes tuorum visita,
    imple superna gratia,
    quae tu creasti pectora.

  3. Tu septiformis munere,
    digitus paternae dexterae
    tu rite promissum Patris
    sermone ditans guttura.
  4. Accende lumen sensibus,
    infunde amorem cordibus,
    infirma nostri corporis,
    virtute firmans perpeti.
  5. Hostem repellas longius
    pacemque dones protinus;
    ductore sic te praevio
    vitemus omne noxium.
  6. Per te sciamus da Patrem
    noscamus atque Filium,
    te utriusque Spiritum
    credamus omni tempore.
  7. Deo Patri sit gloria,
    et Filio qui a mortuis
    Surrexit, ac Paraclito,
    in saeculorum saecula.
    Amen.

Dear hazcompat,

Thanks for the Latin version. As a cantor I’m sure you sing the words with a prayerful heart. The Latin words sung are truly beautiful and moving to even those who do not understand Latin.
