Days within the Octave of Easter are still solemnities, right?

So, it’s been my understanding that the *entire *Octave of Easter - from Easter Sunday through the Second Sunday of Easter, inclusive - is the Solemnity of the Resurrection of the Lord. Thus, we treat each of those eight days as a solemnity.

For some reason, this year’s USCCB printing of the Roman liturgical calendar no longer lists those days as a solemnity.

In prior years it always used to say “solemnity” beneath each of them. Now it no longer does so.

Is that just a weird style alteration that doesn’t indicate any real change?

All the days of the Octave of Easter are still a solemnity, right?

Correct, every day in the Easter Octave is a solemnity. There is thus no abstinence on Easter Friday. Every year on every solemnity that falls on a Friday, a large group from my parish goes to dinner after evening Mass, to a restaurant known for its veal, lamb and beef. The only two solemnities that always fall on Friday are Easter Friday and Sacred Heart, so we know that we eat there at least twice each year. 😃
