Our parish deacon is trying to be discharged from our parish/diocese. Hes only been with us for 9 months when he moved to our diocese because of his and his wife jobs.

He was telling our seminarian on Palm Sunday about his plan when I was in the sacristy with them.

On Good Friday, during his homily he was having the congregation say “AMEN!” and quoting Mormon beliefs.

Should I just report him to my priest or the bishop to get it over with or just let it be?

Seems the first step would be to talk to your Pastor - his boss.

Peace
James

👍

Talk to him to clarify for yourself what his intentions are and your understanding of those intentions are.

Communication should not be based on assumption - so be sure you are clear in your perceptions of his words and actions.

If there is a defined impasse, then request from him that you and he meet with the priest.

Failure to join you and the priest gives you permission to meet with the priest privately.
