Deacons and Exorcism

Could deacons perform exorcisms? I know priests can and even nuns/monks. I personally think they could. I do believe it’s even biblical.

No they can’t.

I know priests can and even nuns/monks.

A bishop is the ordinary minister of exorcism. He may appoint extraordinary ministers (what we’d call an Exorcist) to do exorcisms for the entire diocese. To perform an exorcism, one must be at minimum ordained a priest.

Is that biblical or that rule the Catholic church created because they think it’s for the best?

Only a Bishop may perform an Exorcism. He may delegate a priest that authority.

But is that biblical because of there stories in the Bible or should I say outside the Bible following the lives of the original seven deacons that mention them expelling evil spirits?

No Church appointed Exorcist would record and release this. I suggest watching the youtubes of two Church appointed Exorcists to discover how they view and go about their work,
Fr Gary and Fr Ripperger.
Venerable Fulton Sheen also discusses the Diabolic.

Not to derail, but why would you think a nun or monk (laity) could perform an exorcism and be unsure about a deacon (clergy)? Of course, by now, you’ve seen none of the above actually are permitted.

An exorcism is a private thing, it is not a spectacle. Things on the internet are either made up or something that is not part of the Church.

There are “famous on the internet” exorcists, I would advise to stay clear of them.

Our late Diocesan exorcist suggested the book “The Rite” (not the movie) as the most accurate book for laymen.
