Deacons, Communion, and Three Masses in One Day

My understanding is that, except for major feasts, priests need permission to trinate - say 3 Masses in one day, and by definition receive the Eucharist 3 times. What about a deacon who may assist at 3 Masses in one day? I’ve never seen the concept of “trinating” applied to deacons. Does a deacon need to abstain from the Eucharist at a hypothetical
3rd Mass?

I would say yes a Deacon should not receive Holy Communion at a third Mass. Unlike a celebrating priest the deacon is not required to receive Holy Communion at any Mass he assists at, nor is he required to receive under both forms as is the main celebrant.

Br. Rich SFO is correct. The interesting point is Deacons do not have to assist at Mass - so knowing this Deacons should make the choice to not assist at any third Mass instead of confusing the faithful and abstain from receiving the Holy Eucharist at the third Mass. The faithful would not know this is the Deacon’s third Mass and they would only question as to why the Deacon did not receive Holy Communion.

My understanding is that Priests of the Latin rite with the cure of souls (pastors, vicars, and the like) cannot even binate w/o the permission of the Bishop.

Historical exceptions: Christmas and All Souls’ day.
 
Determing the legitimacy of reasons why a deacon would assist at three Masses on a given day is probably better suited to the bishop and pastor than a forum. I can think of several.

In any case, I see no reason why the diocesan bishop could not dispense a deacon from canon 917 on the basis of canon 87 §1.
