I saw the Dead Sea Scrolls when I was in Jerusalem in 1987, but never hear much about them for a lot of years, so I am looking forward to more information and to be able to see them on the internet.

Having them on line, even having personalized set, does me no good, couldn’t read them anyway!

I’ve seen them translated in book form at stores for those who are interested, putting them online like that is really only a move to allow amature academics (the sort of amature who can read biblical Hebrew) access. Serious scholars, I assume, already have access through universities to books that transcribe the scrolls and keep their format constant (at least I’ve seen such transcriptions for the slightly newer and more obscure Nag Hammadi Library, so I assume they exist for the Dead Sea Scrolls).

The number of people who know those languages well enough to read a manuscript tend to have PhD’s already, so who knows what they hope to accomplish. I know they’ve done it with the Codex Sinaticus though.
