“In the congregation of all the gods of knowledge, and in the congregation of all the gods of God, he engraved his precepts for all the spiritual works…”

“Praise the most high God, O you high among all the gods of knowledge. Let the holy ones of the gods sanctify the King of glory, who sanctifies by his holiness all his holy ones.”

"When the wheels advance, angels of holiness come and go. From between his glorious wheels, there is at it were a fiery vision of most holy spirits… The spirits of the living gods move perpetually with the glory of the marvelous chariots. "

Now…that means, that either the translation is not correct, or the essenes believed in the existence of other gods.

“O daughter]s of my people shout out with a voice of joy, adorn yourselves with ornaments of glory Rule over the ki[ngdom of the ],16, . and I]srael to reign eternally.”

Cosidering that the jews were a patriarchical society, this verse seems to be strange.*

I’m not an expert, but considering that they were written in an ancient language…the “interpretations” may not be exact. Considering that they were written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, and many of these documents were in fragments…coupled with the fact that it may be difficult to discern dialectic nuances, its possible that the translators weren’t wholly accurate…

This source refers to Songs of Sabbath Sacrifice as being “Angelic Liturgy”…and the ‘gods’ may since all reference to them is lower case, whereas God is upper case probably the lower case is referring to angels.

As to the Jews being Patriarchal, to an extent that is true, however, it is also Matriarchal, in that Jewish lineage does not pass on at birth…unless the Mother is Jewish. A Jewish father married to a Gentile who produces a son…does not produce a Jewish child. But that is just my opinion…
