A February 2009 law set the minimum age for marriage at 17, but it was repealed and sent back to parliament’s constitutional committee for review after some lawmakers called it un-Islamic. The religion of peace strikes again!

We cannot use this event to comment on the religion of Islam, or else we’re no better than those that use the sexual abuse scandal to comment on the Catholic Church.

This is a horrible, disgusting, incredibly evil action committed by a single person. Let us hope that God received the soul of the young girl, and let us hope that her killer will realize just how terrible his actions were, and repent fully to God and turn himself in.

Considering that the Muslims are told to emulate their prophet and that is what he did - marry a child of 6, thighed her until the age of 9 and then had sex with her. In Yemen they have celebrations of groups marrying children at once. This is a common practice in Islam.

Saudi Arabia and Why Child Marriage Is Allowed

To Rid Islam of Pedophilia, Muslim Must Discard Both the Quran and Hadith

The second article is very recent, and it goes into the problems of changing Islam. Most of the time when we hear denials that Muhammad did such a thing is because they are practicing what we call religiously sanctioned deception or taqiyya.

How wise and insightful. These acts of one extremist do not reflect the whole. To mark the whole group would be equivalent to the view that all priests are pedophiles and the church protects them all. I can only hope that this wisdom continues in future posts.

ALLAH APPROVES OF IT (pediphilia)

Quran:
65.4 “If you divorce your (child) wife before she reaches menstruation age her idda is three months”.

According to this aya a muslim man can marry (and have sex with) even a one day old infant girl.

ISLAMIC AUTHORITIES PROMOTE IT

There is no argument on this point among Islamic authorities whether shia or sunni. They all agree that a muslim man can have sex with baby girl.

This is what Imam Khomeini, the top shia authority says:

“A muslim man can have sexual pleasure with a little girl as young as a baby. But he should not penetrate her vaginally, however he can sodomize her”. (Tehriro vasyleh, fourth edition, Qom, Iran, 1990)

Video on discussion of child wives.
says (video on a Saudi website) about having sex with a one day old baby girl. (Go to “site video” and click on sex with a one day old girl)

The disturbing part of the article that the people who seem to think that this is not Islamic are missing a very important paragraph. Who try to compare what goes on in Islam with what goes on in other religions. While we abhor pediphilia, Islam’s religious leaders do not it seems. Their laws certainly don’t care about it - or I should say do nothing to stop them and in fact are based on the Quran and Sunnah which talks a lot about Muhammad’s child bride.
Legislation to ban child brides has been stalled by opposition from religious leaders. There has been no government comment over the case.

If that is wise and insightful, then why is there a thread about "sexual abuse by Prostestant Ministers?

I guess that’s relative to the content. Maybe someone wants to know why Protestant Ministers sexually abuse people? Maybe there’s no reason, maybe there’s a religious reason. The thread is fair game. What is not fair is assuming that all Protestants must think and act the same way. This is almost never the case in any religion or political circle. You may however, accept some actions as commonplace when you see it repeatedly within a community that accepts it as a common practice. That being said, marriage of pre-pubescent girl in Islam is an archaic practice and not too common.

Because not all CAF members act with the wisdom suggested by Lynx and Presidentjlh.

I think this particular forum, Non-Catholic Religions, is more charitable now than it was a couple years ago. But we still can do better than we are currently are doing. Lynx and Presidentjlh’s comments are examples of the necessary correction we sometimes need.

Sounds good to me. I wasn’t here 2 years ago so I didn’t know what it was like them. But thanks for sharing that with me. 👍

Poor little mite. May she rest in peace.
My thoughts on her “husband” shall remain unspoken…But there is a Just Judge, Who loves the little children of the world, and now that she is with Him, she is safe and free forevermore…:byzsoc: :gopray2: :byzsoc:

I agree with you in that we cannot use this event to perhaps generalize Islam. However if the religion allows child bride and its prophet actually did it, and it encourages a culture that practices it, event like this bound to happen more likely than in a society where the religion forbids it. This is not to say that it does not happen at all in Christianity but when it happens we know it is evil. Jesus did not teach it nor practiced it.

Humans being humans, it would be easier to engage in something if a supposedly role model did it. Of course it’s easy to say, one can marry a child but not to abuse her. But then again, why allow such practice at all knowing it is so easy that it can lead to abuse.

If we are not allowed to gamble we should not work or own a gambling den. Similarly if we are not allowed to drink alcohol, we should not keep large stock of liquor. Allowing ourselves to be in an environment that does the thing that is forbidden is not wise. Let that be for someone else who allows it.

Yes, they can not issue a new law against the law of Islam:

Sahih Muslim, Book 008, Number 3309:
“'A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported: Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) married me when I was six years old, and I was admitted to his house at the age of nine. She further said: We went to Medina and I had an attack of fever for a month, and my hair had come down to the earlobes. Umm Ruman (my mother) came to me and I was at that time on a swing along with my playmates. She called me loudly and I went to her and I did not know what she had wanted of me. She took hold of my hand and took me to the door, and I was saying: Ha, ha (as if I was gasping), until the agitation of my heart was over. She took me to a house, where had gathered the women of the Ansar. They all blessed me and wished me good luck and said: May you have share in good. She (my mother) entrusted me to them. They washed my head and embellished me and nothing frightened me. Allah’s Messenger (, may peace be upon him) came there in the morning, and I was entrusted to him.”

(E) (A)

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64:
“*Narrated 'Aisha:*that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).”

Even he wanted to marry a much younger than that poor 6 years Aisha:
مسند أحمد:
أن رسول الله ‏ ‏صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ ‏رأى ‏ ‏أم حبيبة بنت عباس ‏ ‏وهي فوق الفطيم قالت فقال ‏ ‏لئن بلغت بنية ‏ ‏العباس ‏ ‏هذه وأنا حي لأتزوجنها

Are you saying Jesus didn’t tell us how we should behave?

[Saudi Cleric upholds child marriages](Saudi Cleric Upholds ‘Fairness’ Of Child Marriage)

The last line says the man has to sign an agreement to not have sex with the chlld until she becomes of age. Well, I wonder who monitors that? It is like handing over children to a pediphile and asking them to sign an agreement not to have sex with those children and then walking away.

It is just lip service to shut people up to what is happening with these children.

We can go through and find many such articles and what we don’t see from Islam is the fact that a girl child’s organs cannot handle that of a grown man. It could be why we never read that Aisha had children. I am sure if she had children her descendents would have been noted since she was Muhammad’s favorite.

The Language of Love? Muslim Husband Rips Wife’s Eyes Out After She Refuses Sex

The Australian Herald Sun reports that a Muslim man who ripped out his wife’s eyes in a fit of rage because she refused to have sex with him, has just been sentenced by a French court to 30 years behind bars–

Mohamed Hadfi, 31, tore out his 23-year-old wife Samira Bari’s eyes following a heated argument in their apartment in the southern French city of Nimes in July 2003 after she refused to have sex with him.

Ms Bari, who had demanded a divorce before the attack, was permanently blinded.

What could have spurred Mohamed Hadfi, who initially fled to Germany after attacking his wife, to commit such violence? On MEMRI TV, a Saudi Sheik provides some information about the rules of sex in Islam. From Vital Perspective, Arabian Nights: Sex in Arabia–

Saudi Sheik Muhammad Al-Munajid dispenses marital advice: “According to Islam, a wife needs to comply with her husband’s desires in bed. The Prophet Muhammad said: “If a man calls his wife to fulfill his needs, she must come, even if she is by the stove””. The Sheik also notes with some dismay that the system is a bit different in the West, and not only because of electric stoves: “The wife in the West is not obligated to [obey her husband’s desire for sex…] They claim that if [her husband] has sex with her against her will - this is rape! They consider this rape. They claim she must be willing. They claim that she must want it.”"

The governments of such a culture (which, coincidentally only seem to be Islamic), do not deserve to be in power. In the interest of human rights, the rest of us should overtake these societies. Wait, we tried that with Iraq.

If these people are allowed to spread their evil, we are responsible for just the sort of thing that happened in France. Those people conquered Christian nations and turned them into the hell holes they are today.

But they do!!!

The following is from the article from below…

Last month, a group of the country’s highest Islamic authorities declared those supporting a ban on child marriages to be apostates.

news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100408/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_yemen_child_bride

Would you sell your 13 year old daughter to a 23 year old man? With the blessing of the local Satanist?

And what about the 8 year old girl sold into islamic justified marriage to a 37 year old?

Sounds like a bargain to me. The father gets the cash…the child ends up dead. Allahu Akbar.

CAF has become the Chrislam Answer Forum. So I might get banned for posting truth. They can’t handle Christianity anymore than the Saudi’s

I find it interesting that anti Islamic anti muslim msm reports are devoured on face value, and accepted as the complete truth, yet the msm reports of catholic church abuse is described variously as the work of satan to the msm not understanding the finer nunaces of catholic teaching and thereby getting the wrong end of the stick.

Hmm…

Pediphiles are going against the teachings of Christ. In islam they are not going against the teachings of Muhammad. Most of your sentence I do not understand but I get the gist of it. You are blaming the MSM as we see many Muslims do. So I guess that is why the Wahabbis are trying to buy them up, or control them with such organizations as MPAC, NAIT, or with lawsuits, etc.

The difference in Muslim countries is that nothing is done to pediphiles. Since we find it perverse behavior, we do take action. You are trying to tell us that we should accept it as ok behavior by telling us what you do because Muhammad did it. And that is why I personally find the ideology of Islam abhorrent.

And you do not excuse bad behavior by pointing out someone else’s bad behavior. That is called tu quoque excuses. The problem with the MSM is that they DON’T report more of this thing that happens so often. They are not reporting how homosexuals are treated, they are not reporting on how women are treated. They are not reporting how non-Muslims are treated in Muslim lands. And that is the shame of it all. Not that they are picking on Muslims - they should pick on them if their societies are displaying abhorrent behavior, as they do in our society.

The problem is that for so many centuries, Islam has made sure that poor behavior was either concealed or sanctioned as in pediphilia, persecution of non-Muslims and Muslim women, etc. And after centuries of brainwashing people actually think it is ok to behave poorly therefore act like victims when it is brought out to other’s attentions.
