OhmyGOSH! Perfect analogy!!

And to go further: those of us who say that it is uncharitable to call someone a fat pig are not also saying, “Go ahead and eat that Velveeta cheese dip!”

It is we who are saying, in charity, try this instead:

And as I have shown.,…Jesus and Church Fathers do not fit into your mold.

it takes all kinds. Your way is good for you…and it might help people

My way has been used by even Jesus…and that sometimes helps people too

Is it so bad to want different posting styles by different people? I really feel for our LDS posters, and my posts seem to trend toward sympathy for them. Other posters, not so much.

It takes all types. As long as no one tries to police me on being too passive, I’m not going to police anyone else on being too aggressive.

And we need to remember that, while we’re talking black and white here, I would guess there are SEVERAL lurkers on this board that are on their way out of the LDS Church and don’t find TK’s et al verbiage offensive. However, his (and Rebecca’s, and The Peeking dudes… er, TwoPekingGuys) posts are incredibly informative and, I would assume, would help those coming out of Mormonism to look into the Catholic Church rather than fall into the despondent atheism that so many of us former LDS posters have dealt with.

Everyone’s at a different place in their journey, and I’d say we have a fantastic smorgasbord of posters here ready and willing to bring those readers to the truth.

(TL;DR: Keep on witchya bad selves, everyone).
👍

thank you!
