Bdonoho

Guest
While coming to the Church, I am really starting to realize what an extremely angry person I am. I really need help with this part of my life. I also wanted to ask for prayer about a big project Im working on with 4 other people. The deadlines are really brutal, and there are times when I despair of finishing this. I have had trouble with diligently working on this project, and it seems that there are these times when I’m overcome with anger and resentment towards my other colleagues. It’s really pretty miserable, and I need help to overcome it.

I also have trouble with my temper and everyday have to work with this cross.

My dear patron Fathers, please pray for Bdonoho’s intentions.

I guess the worst part is over and over again I’ve fallen into these thoughts of wrath, and I can’t make it go away! I pray for the grace to forgive the people I resent but moments later I get sucked into another train of thought that provokes my anger! I even pray decades of the rosary and it still won’t stop.

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon Bdonoho in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

You and me both bud :). I’m a very peaceful person but when a bee gets in my bonnet it gets NASTY. I have bipolar and my anger is very short but very intense.

I just let the bad thoughts flow, ask God to forgive me later on when it’s past, and try to keep my calm better next time.

We’re all human!

Praying for you!

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end.
Amen.

Anger can be addressed, successfully, in a variety of ways. There are some books and workbooks that can be helpful. I have had to deal with some serious anger issues and found these types of things useful. In addition, fnding what triggers your anger is important and breathing exercises are also very effective. That idea of counting to three is rooted in sound practice and if you try it you might be pleased. But, the single most important thing you can do is turn it over to God and ask Him to help you conquer this problem. I will pray for you.

Prayer in Time of Anger

Lord Jesus, there is anger in my heart and I cannot root it out.
I know that I should calm down and offer the hurt and disappointment to You
but my emotion is running away with me.
Help me to overcome this weakness and give me peace of heart as well as mind.
Let me learn from this experience and grow into a better human being. Amen.

Thank you all for your prayers! yesterday I went to confession, and I’m doing a whole lot better. Praise God, because I was afraid I wasn’t going to be able to make a good confession.

If you don’t pray it already, I highly recommend the Chaplet of Divine Mercy for your anger issues. I’ve heard it’s a great devotion for those of us who struggle with anger. I try to pray it a lot, and I still have a bit of a short fuse, but I’m not constantly ruminating on some hateful thing like I use to be.

**O My Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell and lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who are in most need of Thy mercy.
Amen.
