It follows that man’s purpose is his own beatitude in Heaven which is God’s will.

Spiritual enlightenment, being reunited with God, doing God’s will, acting ethically, seeking and acquiring knowledge, applying knowledge, using God’s gift of life fruitfully, educating others, living in a society, worshipping God, having a family, defending the weak…

I will continue the applause!!! A perfect response to the OP and an excellant follow up to the seond post on the thread. It is not a difficult question at all. At one point in time, we were all made to memorize this answer in the first grade.

I should be happy, could I say my purpose is to love and help others, even not much; but I cannot be very strong now.

-I know that dear Drinkgasoline what you say, too, it is human purpose to exist in this world; but what is the purpose God made us that I am now and sand and many nature things exist; you know, there is other things exist, like camera, books…they exist that because we human made them to use them, we human made many things they exist becuse they have their purpose. O Drinkgasline; but God made human and sand and…, Why God made all these.

Look at this world ! For how many people you know truly love God in heart. And is it all the generations before us. And I have seen many old movies from 1920, 1930… I have seen many different generations human stories, they live in their different times, all struggle and now they all gone, I saw that only things in movie till now not change is that the sky and clouds …in movies. All humans so serious in everything they do in this world. And then they gone, they chasing something in vain. It is so long why God not redeem human now?


Would God leave us human on earth this long?

I read his poems through some pages. I saw that he had loved so deep and his soul is in suffering. Now I understand that the Love he longing only our Redeemer can give us.

Well we are a fallen people, and we have free will. So many of us do not choose to know Him, to love Him, or to choose Him? Does that make the Church’s teaching wrong? I think not. Modernity (and even more so post-modernity) either assumes we have no answers to these questions, or they are beyond our reach. But that is the thinking of the unbeliever, and it has corrupted all of us.
The Church has had these answers for a long, long time. I would strongly suggest reading G.K. Chesterton’s book “Everlasting Man” for some clarity.

True, dear tafan. All Christians are a dear brothers sisters to me, many brothers sisters are in suffering in this world, they struggle in many things in this world, do not know many things, but you are good, have compassion on others and me.
