Dear Friend Passed Away

I just learned a dear old friend of mine passed away suddenly from a heart attack yesterday. She was in her early 70s. Her name was Diane, she was from NJ. She was a great dog-lover and helped me through the recent loss of my dog. That was the last time I spoke to her. She was Catholic but did not practice. She was spiritual though and had a respect for the Church. She was very pro-life. She leaves behind her husband, 3 children and several grandchildren. They are in terrible shock right now because no one saw this coming.

I know this seems like a terrible time to say this, but she was a smoker. My father was a smoker too and died of a heart attack at the age of 54, when I was only 7. I am only saying this to warn anyone out there who might need this warning. I have another dear friend who used to smoke, quit, and 9 years later lung cancer showed up on a xray for something else. She is probably terminal now and is only in her early 50s.

Diane was a great person. If you know someone like her, away from the Church, why not invite them to church with you before it is too late for them? I will always remember Diane as a loving, sweet and generous soul. Always a smile, always a pleasure to be around. Always something nice to say. God bless her soul and her family at this time.

Thanks everyone for your prayers. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for dear Diane and her family. Amen. (I’m sorry I won’t be responding to any replies-please just pray for her-thanks.)

Wow, it sounds like she was an amazing person. I praying for her soul. :crossrc:
