A very dear friend of mine, Michael, from high school took his life this week. I attended his funeral today…it was probably one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I’ve unfortunately been to many funerals in my lifetime, all are difficult of course, but this one really hurt. I’ve never had a death by suicide occur in my life, it’s the thought of the pain he was going through leading up to it that really bothers me…he was only in his twenties…my heart is broken. Please pray for the repose of his soul and all those mourning.

I pray that God is merciful to your friend Michael. May He comfort and strengthen all those who are mourning the loss of Michael.
 
Praying for your dear friend Michael that he rest in peace. May the God of comfort be with you, friends, and family during this time of grieving. May you find support in each other as well.

Almighty God, our heavenly Father, we understand
that your sixth commandment, “Thou shalt do no murder,”
includes self-murder. But in your divine mercy, we beg
your forgiveness especially for Michael, who has been
so confounded by the pressures of this life that he felt
there was no way he could continue.

Grant, we beseech You, that he can be forgiven from his
terrible sin and accepted by your divine providence, and
that he may come to understand your ways and nature.
We ask this in Jesus Christ’s name.

I feel for you.

I truly do.

I will suggest listening to some music to get you through it. I would suggest some good metal but I’m assuming that would not be welcome by many here. Suicide is awful. An awful tragedy every time. I feel for you sir. I really really do. I lost a friend in the same way and I’ve been in a state were I’ve considered it. I got through it with metal and God. I suggest the same combination.
