Heck, so did notorious bad boy Oscar Wilde. And of course, being Oscar Wilde, he had a witticism for the occasion, remarking that the Catholic Church was the place for “very great saints and very great sinners,” while everyone else could get along with the Church of England.

This is why I reverted (came back to the faith) a few years ago. I don’t want to be on my deathbed doing a last minute repent.
Better late than never though.

TODAY is the day of salvation. We have no assurance of tomorrow. But, do not despair
because as Jesus said a few times, your faith has saved you.

I’m always looking for the “bottom line” of this or that. The bottom line is that your salvation is between you and God. There are many people who, in history, did not have the advantage of the sacraments in a timely manner, but are filled with faith for the Lord. Jesus seems to indicate that such as these will not be abandoned.

The Church exists to bring you urgently to Jesus Christ. Have faith in that.
