Debate With An Atheist

I live in a world where being an atheist is quite normal and I can’t say that I’ve met more than a couple who really care one way or another about what religious people believe as long as religious people don’t expect them to take the slightest notice of what they believe…
I never said all atheist. I said most. My mother is an atheist. She doesn’t preach against God. nor does she care what anyone believes.
I suppose that it’s like ‘Catholics’ or any other group, most don’t spend days on the internet debating with others, they just get on with life.
The difference between someone like me and say some atheist who gets online and debates about God is this. I believe in God. I believe him to be real so i concern myself with issues about God. An atheist doesn’t. He/She is arguing about something they doesn’t think is real. Which is a sign of a mental illness.

Agreed, you didn’t say ‘all’ you said ‘majority’.

No, it isn’t. I would suggest that you are more careful with the use of terminology like that - try something like ‘seems a bit crazy to me’ or whatever.
