Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Today is a very special Feast of Mary for me, – and perhaps others who have read her tender words to humble St. Juan Diego during her apparitions to him at Guadalupe. I hope you have time today or this evening to read an account of her apparitions HERE

Each time I read this account I am blessed by her words to him and his humble and loving replies to her. Perhaps the words I cherish most are these:
…“Hear me and understand well, my son the least, that nothing should frighten or grieve you. Let not your heart be disturbed. Do not fear that sickness, nor any other sickness or anguish. Am I not here, who is your Mother? Are you not under my protection? Am I not your health? Are you not happily within my fold? What else do you wish? Do not grieve nor be disturbed by anything. Do not be afflicted by the illness of your uncle, who will not die now of it. be assured that he is now cured.” (underlining is mine)
Another translation renders her words “Are you not under my protection?” as “Are you not in the crossing of my arms?” I prefer the latter but her words like the words of her Son Jesus at the Last Supper encourage us not to let our hearts be troubled or disturbed by anything but simply to believe, to trust, and to love.

Tender Mother, Our Lady of Guadalupe, keep us all remaining in God’s Love with you! We in the Americas have been blessed by your tenderness, please pray for us that we may share the blessing of Your Son as you did with all we meet. We are all created by God to be His children and yours. Help us to remain in His Love.

Amen!

Those words that you quote, MariaChristi, are the same words from the apparition that have touched my heart the most also.

Our Lady of Guadalupe, please keep us as close to you and to your Divine Son as possible, forever.

Beautiful, thanks for sharing! 🙂
Dear Irishmom,

Yes, her words and everything about Mary is so very Beautiful! You are welcome to anything I can find to share that helps us love Jesus and Mary more! 🙂

Amen!

Thanks for your “Amen”, dear Pat.

It is such a joy to know Mary is our Mother, and that she cares for us so much. How good it is to continue learning from her, by obeying Jesus’ words:
“Behold Your Mother”
The more I gaze on Mary, the more I realize her focus is on Jesus, and our dear Mother, sees us all – always in her love for Him!

Hopefully, many of us had a blessed day celebrating this Feast of Our Lady!

Amen, dear sister, MariaChristi.

Yes, Our Lady of Guadalupe loves Jesus and everyone so much that we cannot understand it.

As it says in the Psalter of the Blessed Virgin: “the earth is full of thy tender mercies”, and “the fountain of thy goodness inebriates the thirsty”.

Our Lady is so kind!

Another “thank you” dear brother Pat, for “another Amen” from you!

Our Lady of Guadalupe, and Our Lady under all her many titles loves with the immeasurable love of God, as no other human person because God has so enriched her with graces from the moment of her conception! The Psalter is repeating this truth as it speaks of God’s Tender Mercy poured into Mary’s Immaculate Heart. Jesus promised in John’s Gospel conversation with the woman at the well:
…whoever drinks the water I shall give will never thirst; the water I shall give will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life…(Jn 4:14)
Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mother of the Church, pray for us.
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your Faithful, kindle in us the Fire of Your Love.
Jesus, we trust in You!

Yes, as St.Louis Marie says, whatever the Father gives to the Son, and the Son gives to the Spirit, is given to Our Lady. She, though a creature and infinitely below her Son, loves us with his very love, the love of the Holy Spirit.

Praise be to God for giving us Our Lady of Guadalupe!

Thanks, my sister, MariaChristi.

It’s strange how unconscious we can be. God and Our Lady of Guadalupe are always with us, caring for us with a love we cannot fathom. Yet so many times in my life I’ve been unaware of this. Thanks be to God that he has made me more aware of His love!

Ah yes, and as we approach this beautiful Feast of His Coming – so small and so humble – how can we not return love for Love! How can we not thankJesus through Mary for all eternity! 🙂

Yes, my sister, and Our Lady of Guadalupe will give him to us in all her personal love, and in her compassionate gaze, just as she told our big brother, St. Juan Diego.
