Actually, St. Lucy came up in conversation a week or so ago. One of my twin granddaughters (18 months old) will need eye surgery in a few weeks. I mentioned we needed to invoke St. Lucy, patroness of those with eye problems. Long pause. Daughter says, “Mom, how do you KNOW that kind of stuff?”
Longer pause. “Daughter, after all those years of religious education, how do you NOT know that kind of stuff?”
So we both have been praying to dear St. Lucy for the success of little Charlotte’s surgery.
