A novena is always 9 days continual prayer…I usually begin the nine days to end on the feast day itself. Some begin to end on the day immediately before the feast day. I am unsure if there is a precise ruling on this for a novena - will have a search and see what I can come up with.
I am posting days to begin novenas, with a novena prayer for any important feast, and each day of the novena, into the Daily Prayer and Liturgy thread and will be doing the same for Christmas commencing on the 17th. December to conclude nine days later on Christmas Day.

I have not done an extensive search, but this site indicates that a novena ends (ninth day) on the feast itself:

What a splendid thing for you to do - thank you so much!

Day 9- Thank you for inviting us to join in this novena. God Bless
